Q&A with Paulette Jordan, afterparty to be held along with film screening
BOISE, ID (June 26, 2019)— The Boise premiere of ‘Paulette,’ a film about the historic 2018
Idaho gubernatorial race of Democratic party nominee Paulette Jordan, will be held on July 17,
2019 at 6:30 p.m. MST at The Egyptian Theatre, 700 W Main St.
The film, directed by Heather Rae, will be preceded by a question and answer session with the
former Idaho representative and 2018 gubernatorial candidate, who is currently leading an
environmental campaign to save the native Chinook salmon of the Northwest from extinction,
and will be followed by an afterparty at the Basque Center in Boise, 601 W Grove St.
“This was a race for all Idahoans, and this film is for all Idahoans as well,” Jordan said. “I’m
excited for this film to finally be seen by those who were such a huge part of this race and what
it meant.”
“Paulette Jordan's run for Governor of Idaho in the 2018 elections made her an enigma, drawing
fans and foes alike to her antithetical existence between Democrat and Republican,” reads a
Sun Valley Film Festival film description.
Van Beechler, Chair of the Idaho Democratic Party, said she is looking forward to being inspired
by the film and hopes it gives others the boost they need to take part in the political process.
“Paulette’s race was historic for many reasons, especially for women and indigenous people,
and it’s very exciting to be able to see some of it on the big screen,” Beechler said. “We hope it
inspires people to get involved as we head into 2020.”
