Tim Callis, 64, a voter from Manchester, had come to the event to learn more about Booker and his policies. The senator’s remarks at Craig’s headquarters left him still curious to learn more, Callis said, but Booker largely made a positive impression. “I check people’s body language, eyes, and I just got a good feeling about him, that he’s truthful,” Callis said. “You can’t hide.”
"Alejandro Urrutia, a Hudson, New Hampshire resident, said he liked that Booker talked 'with the heart.' As someone who emigrated to America from Mexico in the 80s, and is the chair of the Latino caucus of New Hampshire, he also commended Booker's stance on unity. 'I like his approach to being unified in a time in the United States when we are so divided,' Urrutia said."
"Senator Booker praised Craig and also praised the role of municipal officials in general, hearkening back to his time as an elected official at the local level. 'Former New York mayor Fiorello LaGuardia once said there’s no Democratic or Republican way to fix potholes. Being a mayor is about getting things done every single day, hitting singles and doubles and occasionally hitting home runs for your community,' he said."
"Booker is touring in an RV, taking aim at President Trump and Governor Chris Sununu, accusing them of putting wealth ahead of working people. 'This is an election not a referendum on any one individual. It's a referendum on who we are to each other. It's a referendum on the spirit of this country and what's it going to be.' Today he joined the mayor of Manchester to launch her re-election campaign and is now knocking on doors around the city."
Booker "attracted large crowds on Saturday in Manchester, Nashua and Exeter...the Senator continues to be critical of President Donald Trump."
"Senator Booker was actually in an RV today meeting with voters."
